You have two options if you need to remove a user from your account. You can either delete the user and all their saved data, or you can convert their account into an individual one that is no longer linked to your team account. If you delete the user, all their data will be immediately removed from the Password Boss system. However, suppose you decide to convert the user's account into an individual one. In that case, you will be able to choose which saved items will be transferred to their personal profile through the use of security policies.

Deleting a user account

  1. Login to the portal as an admin user on your team account.

  2. Click on Users.

  3. Find the user to be deleted and click the blue Actions button and choose Delete user.

  4. On the confirmation prompt, click Delete user.

Deleted Users Devices

If a user attempts to log in to a deleted account, all of the user's data will be deleted from the device when the app connects to the Password Boss servers.

Make sure you have in place the right security policies, and the user has full access to the email address after leaving the team.

Use the Force Business items into business profile to make sure any team-related password items are kept in the business profile, then use the Remove Business Profile items when user is removed to prevent them from accessing team-related items after they leave the team.

When converting a user account to an individual account, the user must have access to the email address associated with the account to verify it. If the account was set up with a company email and the user no longer has access to it, they may not be able to sign in.
